1. Who we are

SocAIlpost is operated by Peter Newsome, who acts as the data controller for personal data processed about you when you use SocAIlpost.

2. Personal data we collect

  • Account data: name, email address, password hash, and authentication identifiers (e.g. Google OAuth ID if you sign in with Google).
  • Profile and voice data: the writing samples, voice descriptors, industry, niche, target audience, job title, company, content pillars, banned phrases, formality and length preferences, posting schedule, and timezone you provide during onboarding or in account settings.
  • Generated content: the prompts, drafts, and posts created within your account, and the article context used to generate them.
  • Connector credentials: if you connect a delivery channel, we store what is needed to deliver your drafts to it — for example a Slack incoming webhook URL, a Microsoft Teams webhook URL, a Telegram chat ID and bot token, or an email delivery address.
  • Usage data: log data, device identifiers, browser type, IP address, and pages visited.
  • Support data: messages you send to support and related metadata.

3. How we use personal data

  • To create and operate your account (contract performance).
  • To generate and store the draft posts you request (contract performance).
  • To deliver your daily drafts to the channels you have connected, such as email, Slack, Microsoft Teams, or Telegram (contract performance).
  • To prevent fraud and abuse and to keep SocAIlpost secure (legitimate interests).
  • To improve SocAIlpost and develop new features (legitimate interests).
  • To respond to support requests (contract performance / legitimate interests).
  • To comply with legal obligations (legal obligation).

4. Sharing your data

We share personal data only with:

  • Infrastructure subprocessors that host and operate SocAIlpost (cloud hosting, database, and transactional email).
  • Paddle.com Market Limited, our Merchant of Record, which processes payments, subscriptions, tax, and invoicing on our behalf. Paddle's processing is governed by their own privacy policy.
  • Google (Gemini), accessed through the Lovable AI gateway, which processes your prompts, voice sample, and selected article context to generate post drafts. Prompts and outputs sent through this gateway are not used to train Google's models.
  • Communication providers you choose to connect (Slack, Microsoft Teams, Telegram, and your email provider). When you enable a connector, your draft text is sent to that service at your direction so it can be delivered to you.
  • Authorities where required by applicable law.

We do not sell your personal data.

5. News article sources

SocAIlpost ingests publicly available articles from third-party RSS feeds in order to surface relevant news for your posts. We do not send your personal data, prompts, or voice samples to those publishers.

6. International transfers

Personal data may be processed outside your country of residence, including in the United States. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses or adequacy decisions.

7. Data retention

We retain personal data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we delete or anonymise your personal data within a reasonable period, unless we are required to retain it to comply with legal, tax, or accounting obligations.

8. Your rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, port, or object to processing of your personal data, and to withdraw consent. EU/UK users also have the right to lodge a complaint with their local supervisory authority. We will respond to verified requests within one month.

9. Security

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures (encryption in transit, access controls, hardened cloud infrastructure) to protect personal data. No system is completely secure, but we work to address vulnerabilities promptly.

10. Cookies and local storage

SocAIlpost uses only the essential cookies and local storage required to operate the service — for example, to keep you signed in. We do not currently use third-party advertising or analytics cookies. If this changes, we will update this notice.

11. Children

SocAIlpost is not directed to children under 18 and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us so we can delete it.

12. Contact
